PRAVUM loves the divine, the degenerate, the impossible. We’re looking for new voices in fiction to submit to our publication. We do not currently accept non-fiction or poetry. Genres we enjoy are literary fiction, women’s up-market fiction, magical-realism and satire. We’re not looking for fantasy, mystery, romance or science-fiction at this time. Authors we enjoy are Elena Ferrante, Hilton Als, Colette, Zena El Khalil, Oyinkan Braithwaite, Natalia Ginzburg, Rachael Cusk, Anissa M. Bouziane and Edith Wharton among others. We like themes of culture, sex, mysticism, society, dreams, religion, travel, dating and growth. We recommend you join our subscription list and check out our library so you have a sense of what we’re all about.

How to submit:

• Email the first 30 pages of your manuscript in a regular font at 12 pt, double-spaced to beastwitches@pravum.uk.

• Include [SUBMISSION - YOUR BOOK TITLE] in the subject line.

• In the body of your email, please include a short synopsis of the book, a short biographical note, your contact information and estimated word count.

• As we don’t require an agent to submit to us, we want to ensure when we receive manuscripts they’re in their best form for us to appreciate their potential. Therefore, we ask that you have either work-shopped your book with 3+ people prior to submission, or have had the book edited by a professional developmental editor.
